In the following experiments where an antiseptic was necessa ry a mixture of 100. Cc. Toluol containing about gm. Thymol was used. In most cases a acetone solution was used as a solvent fer the diastase. Tthere such a strong solution of acetone remained present Without dilution no a¿ditional antiseptic was necessary for experiments of short duration.
