The author argues that there is no single and easy solution to conflicts resolution in any particular part of the world. The book provides a much nuanced analysis of the conflict resolution and human rights law tools, making the argument that in order to create durable peace, the approach has to be multifaceted. It augments various efforts so far undertaken to address the root causes of conflicts in the Africa's Great Lakes Region generally, and in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in particular and lay the foundations for their resolution and for sustainable peace in the region.
