O knihe
SMEs are eager to improve the software development processes in their organizations so that they could produce high-quality software but faster and cheaper. Many studies show that about 30% of SPI initiatives succeed and these studies claim that the success of the SPI initiative is based on the organizational, managerial and technological aspects of SPI. Most of the existing SPI frameworks do not sufficiently cover these aspects. This book investigates the characteristics of SMEs which affect their software processes and to introduce a new SPI framework as an alternative for CMMI that covers these aspects. A survey approach was used to collect data randomly from the employees of a SME. Data received through the survey was inserted into excel sheets and then was analyzed. Additionally, two qualitative methods, focus group discussion and the Delphi were used to validate the CSF of the new framework. This Book introduces ISPF, a framework, covers all the aspects of SPI in the context of existing SPI models, methods, and practices. Additionally, this book give some valuable recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of SPI initiatives.
