Wetlands are important natural resources providing both economic and ecological services to society. Increasing livelihood dependence is claimed to cause wetland degradation through impairing their ecological functions world wide. The nature of dependence and its impact on wetland ecosystem was therefore studied to give insight of wetland management in Bangladesh, a densely populated developing country.
