O knihe

The British rule in India is a long chapter of foreign domination. In this project efforts have been made to explore the contribution of the Indians from South East Asia to Indian freedom. India has one of the World¿s most diverse and complex migration history. Since the 19th century, ethnic Indians have established communities over every continent of the world making sentimental and material links with its homeland. About three million Indians were living in various parts of South East Asia during the early 20th century. The efforts of the Indians from South East Asia gradually emerged as a national movement with the object of obtaining Indian independence with foreign help. The desire to serve in the cause of India's liberation becomes such a burning passion with the East-Asia Indians that even women folk came forward and joined the struggle. Many Indians in South Asia such as Rash Behari Bose, Giani Pritam Singh, Mahendra Partap etc. had international perspective, who contributed to country's cause from South-East Asia. The achievement of Indians in the region and the story of their bold bid made for the freedom of India by them is very fascinating.
