O knihe
The book is the result of ethnographic research on Tharu Community, an indigenous community of rural Nepal. Tharus are considered as one of the oldest ethnic groups of Nepal. They have their own ethnic identity, dialect and culture. Weaving is one of the unique ethnic indigenous practices that still exist in their community. They mastered their skills on weaving by using raw materials like jute, bamboo, and grass. The author had tried to explore the fresh ideas on the decline of the weaving profession and lacking factors behind intra-generational transfer. The unique factor about the study is that the author had tried to look from the prescriptive of sustainability.
