O knihe
This paper aims at assessing the moderating factors of leadership, in organisation. Cargill West Africa was used as a case study. This qualitative study was conducted from a follower's perspective, though semi structured interviews. The findings suggest that leadership is positively impacted with cultural differences between leaders and respondents. The latter perceive their counterparts as competent and experienced. The organisational culture of the company is favourable to leadership effectiveness in the company, opposite to size. Indeed, the company is considered as wide, the effort should be oriented toward transformational leadership style, more suitable in that case. The behaviour of the informants has had a positive impact onto the leaders, as they were able to foster a climate of trust though constant communication. Also, the authority level of their leader was not puzzling for the respondents, since they could balance it with their competence and self-confidence. Although the communication style is well perceived among most of them, it's mainly leaders' responsibility to keep it open and healthy for an effective leadership within the company.
