Class II malocclusion is the second most common type of malocclusion, with a worldwide prevalence rate of approximately 15 % and that of 1.9% to 15% in the Indian population. Skeletal Class II malocclusion exhibits various combinations owing to the position of the mandible and maxilla concerning the cranial base and also each other.
