O knihe

Young permanent teeth are those recently erupted teeth in which normal physiological apical root closure has not occurred. Such teeth are in developmental stage in children from 6 years of age until mid-teens. Human tooth with immature apex is a developing organ. Numerous factors can affect the pulpal health of teeth, but the two major conditions detrimental to young permanent teeth are deep caries and traumatic injuries. The prime treatment objective should be focused to preserve the vitality of the radicular pulp so that physiological apical closure could be attained. The immature young permanent tooth should be treated with strategies that are important for the long- term prognosis of teeth. The treatment approaches should try to preserve the pulp vitality to secure continued root growth.
