O knihe
The development of biological monitoring techniques based on fish offers the possibility of checking water pollution with fast responses on low concentrations of direct acting toxicants.Fish are excellent subjects for the study of various effects of contaminants present in water samples since they can metabolize, concentrate, and store waterborne pollutants.Since fish often respond to toxicants in a similar way to higher vertebrates, they can be used to screen for chemicals that are potentially teratogenic and carcinogenic in humans. The main application for fish model system is using to determine the distribution and effect of chemical contaminants in the aquatic environment.Biomarkers for water pollution are early diagonositic tools for biological effect measurement and environmental quality assessment. The present Project work is therefore an approach to find chromosomal changes occurring in Liza Persia (which is the source of Biomonitoring , Diagnostic tools for biological effect measurement and environmental quality assessment)at different levels of Aluminum, Arsenic, Cadmium, Copper,Chromium, Iron, Mercury, Lead, Selenium, Zinc.
