O knihe
Soil temperature is one of the most difficult parameters to be accurately and continuously measured both at local, continental, and global scales. The constraints to such desired result are usually occasioned by factors such as soil texture, topography, and soil water content. These factors are known to vary over short distance within shorter time (Daolan, et al., 2013). Whereas many meteorological or weather stations in Nigeria have long term records of daily air temperature, very few of these stations monitor soil temperature. Worse still the few weather stations that have records of soil temperature suffer many missing data for meaningful research. The utilization of the few available data to develop models for the estimation of soil temperature is pertinent and will, therefore, be deployed in this work. It is hoped that this will provide useful result for application.
