O knihe
The Republic of Congo is rich in mineral resources, the development of which could be a source of wealth for the country. In 2012, nearly 100 new mining titles were granted by the Congolese authorities, excluding renewals, an average of nearly two new mining titles issued each week. This momentum is confirmed for 2013, during which approximately 110 new mining titles have already been granted (as of the end of August), not including the renewals of nearly 16 titles. In addition, since 2011 alone, more than 100 companies have been conducting mining operations throughout the country. The mining sector in the Republic of Congo is essentially governed by Law No. 4-2005 of April 11, 2005 on the Mining Code.In addition to the Mining Code and the above-mentioned texts, other texts govern mining activities in Congo. These include Law No. 003/91 of April 23, 1991 on the protection of the environment and Law No. 6-2003 of January 18, 2003 on the investment charter.
