Mosquitoes and the diseases they transmit cause serious public health problems especially in the tropics. The control of mosquitoes has become more complex due to the changes in their behaviour as well as other factors like globlisation, unplanned urbanisation and deforestation. We now live in a borderless world and thus mosquito borne diseases can easily cause epidemics in any tropical country if control measures are not in place. This book deals with the biology and control of mosquitoes of public health importance especially in Southeast Asia.
