O knihe
Since introduced in medical practice, Magnetic Resonance has evolved and developed immensely, today various parameters and sequences posing a challenge both in understanding them and in using them during the process of diagnostic. Compared to other imaging modalities, MRI has become the main diagnostic tool in evaluating brain expanding masses, a careful evaluation bringing the radiologist very close to the identity of the tumor. Especially for the beginner, the plethora of possible sequences to be used and the data they bring can become something of a nightmare and definitely a challenge. The present book tries to take the reader through some of these modalities of imaging brain tumors, explaining by clinical examples the role and utility of the world of MRI sequences. Adressed to the students and residents with an interest in brain tumor diagnostic, the book is not exhaustive, but a tool for understanding how the MRI identifies and differentiates among the numerous pathological structures that one encounters in the medical practice. The images are all part of the authors' collection.
