Jill Quint, MD, Forensic Pathologist, PI, and vintner, arrives in Dallas for a grape grower's conference when she runs into an old friend. The friend is shaken by watching her co-presenter die while delivering a presentation. Public speaking was bad enough, but what could kill a young woman so quickly?
The victim's husband, Adam, hires Jill to help him find answers to his wife's death. He's convinced that Stacy's old connection to the Sinaloa Drug Cartel is the cause of her death. Stacy was related to a high ranking member of the cartel family but had changed her identity to escape the cartel life, eventually becoming a nurse.
