O knihe
Nonstrabismic binocular dysfunction is one of the most commonly reported conditions in nonpresbyopic subjects with asthenopic symptoms worldwide. These are vision disorders which mostly affect the binocularity and visual performance of subjects particularly with difficulty in near vision. They are mainly categorized into vergence anomalies and accommodative anomalies. There is a wide variations in the prevalence of these vision disorders. The differences exist because of different diagnostic criteria used in the earlier studies. However there is a lack of consensus in the scientific literature on what diagnostic criteria should be used to define each anomaly existing large difference between them. Exact diagnosis forms an integral part of vision therapy for treatment of nonstrabismic binocular vision disorder. Many occupation and schools and colleges require long term use of reading material and computers. This causes individuals with binocular vision anomaly to slow down in their activities hence their performance is hampered. The purpose of this study is to use greater number of diagnostic signs and to determine the frequency of binocular vision anomalies in Indian population.
