O knihe
The researchers were interested in studying the factors that affect the performance and production of ruminant animals, to develop formulas that suit the needs of these animals speed of growth and increase production, taking into account the nature of the digestive system of these animals. The foundations and rules for the new protein system have been laid. In order to distinguish between the needs of the microorganisms from the degradable nitrogen in the rumen (RDN) and the needs of the host animal from the undegradable nitrogen in the rumen (UDN) in order to reach the maximum benefit from the food and achieve the best production efficiency. RDN the feed component selected for the use of low-quality coarse feed, which encourages increased consumption of coarse feed and nutrient flow to the small intestine and provides rumen microbes with NH3, amino acids, and peptides. Therefore, the lack of RDN leads to a decrease in ruminant performance while the increase in the RDN level in the diets resulted in an increase in feed conversion ratio (FCR) and the average daily gain (ADG). Several studies have confirmed that adding UDN to the diets increased dry matter intake DMI, ADG and FCR.
