O knihe
"Nutritional well-being is recognized both as a primary objective of development and an important input into the social and economic development process." - The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, (FAO) 'Right to food' has been one of the most controversial issues in relation to the right to development and most importantly, food security of the poor sin India. The Indian Constitution - under Article- 21 promised to raise the level of nutrition and standards of living of its population while ensuring freedom from hunger and securing improvements in the efficiency of the production as well as distribution of food grains.Children are the most vulnerable group that suffers from malnutrition and nutritional deficiency in India. Nutrition is the cornerstone of socio-economic development. The nutritional problems are multi factorial with roots in the sectors of education, demography, agriculture and development. Under nutrition during any period of childhood, even for relatively short term episodes, can have negative effects on the cognitive development, thus leads to poor school performance and inner well-being among children and ultimately leads to unhappiness.
