Current understanding of tooth development and the mechanisms of associated developmental disorders have been obtained based on extensive research of past decades. Epithelial-mesenchymal interaction plays an important role in orchestrating the cellular events throughout the tooth development, taking place at different point of time, enabling various cell types to carry out their precise contribution in development of teeth devoid of error.
