O knihe

The feminist movements that have taken place from the late eighteenth century to the second half of the twentieth century and that are delimited in three waves or historical feminist periods have made it possible that within the development of Civil Law feminist theory and struggles have advocated for formalizing equality between men and women within the Western nation state. In this regard, we first propose a sociological reading that will allow us to address terms such as social role, nuclear family and social phenomenon, and in parallel to this process we will delve into the history of the three feminist waves mentioned above in order to understand the progress of feminist theory and praxis. We will deal in depth with the third wave feminist theorists Simone de Beauvoir and Betty Friedan, which will help us to understand the origins of the conflict between work and family life of contemporary women by putting into context their main works.
