Water tank is a widely used structure, hence any material cost saving is appreciable. In this book, a strategy has been extracted for an oversimplified optimum design for reinforced concrete intze type water tank, using the robust tool, genetic algorithm. The optimum design formulation has been depicted in the format of objective function and the constraints.
