The cover of the book is modeled after "Hunkayapi"-the famous bronze statue by Dale Claude Lamphere. It depicts an older woman presenting an eagle plume to a younger woman. Illustrations are by Native American artist, David W. Craig. Included are common core state standards, web and print resources, cross-curriculum activities, and a glossary of environmental terms.
