It is believed, also, that the impartiality of this work will be another of its recommendations. In making the ex tracts, the most scrupulous care has been taken never to injure a context. The selections, too, have been made with the strictest impartiality. The Opinions of Sir Robert Peel have been given without regard to their contents; and whether they serve the purposes of defence by the one party, or of accusation by the other, has not been considered a matter with which the Editor was entitled to deal.
