Like many other heritage sites in Bangladesh, Mahasthan faces different challenges due to lack of long term management plan to maintain sustainable development. The Book explores underlying issues of heritage management & planning for the huge site and outlines a comprehensive approach for conservation to foster sustainable development in a critical context where cultural heritage still remains as an isolated issue for main stream development.
