O knihe
The book tackles historical and present challenges in current Tunisia. It starts with a diagnosis of the push factors of political and occasional, confrontational discontent after a brief description of the rule of Bourguiba and Ben Ali¿s, then moves to the Jasmine revolution and its impact until the inception of the latest compromise in post-revolution era and the new constitution. It describes Sidi Bouzid Peoples' revolt and its impact stresses its organisation and political violence, security control and vigilantism and its confrontation with the last of Ben Ali's guards; then finishes with the national debate and rescue government under leadership vacuum. It also, focuses on the emergence of a number of armed militant groups, like Ansar Al Sharia which -according to analysis - would keep Tunisia trapped in both instability as well as, insecurity. It searches into its earlier militant and terror campaign activities, alongside other fragmented groups, the struggle between extremist secular and liberal activists against Islamic militants in the light of the current, political crisis in general.
