The area is also famous for archaeological site. It is said that Bhitargarh is largest archaeological site (exacerbation going on ) of South Asia. The historical place Kantaji Temple and Tajhat Jamider Bari are famous and every day hundreds of people visit these .The Ramsagar , the Nilsagar and Maharaja Dhigi bear the history of this area. The Teesta barrage and Enclaves of this region is always a hot issue.
