The metallurgical industry ranks second among a huge number of industries in terms of atmospheric emissions. Ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy enterprises are forced to use ore with very low content of the required substances when extracting metals. Thus, the processing of ore emits large amounts of gases that further pollute the atmosphere.Air pollution is the main cause of the environmental problem associated with metallurgical activities.
