O knihe
The present book contains systematic study on reducing the levels of THMs and HAAs in drinking water. The characterization and the level of natural organic matters (NOM) in the raw drinking water delivered from the river Nile and their relation to the formation of disinfection by-products (DBPs) during the treatment processes were studied. Water samples were collected from four drinking water treatment plants (Embaba, El-Dahab Island, Fostat and Mostorod) and their distribution system in greater Cairo. The different factors affecting on the formation of THMs and HAAs were studied in order to optimize the treatment train for reduction of the level of the disinfection DBPs.
