O knihe
Research is carried out with the firm belief that it is necessary that a method be found by which beliefs may be determined by nothing human, by something upon which human thinking has no effect. The method must be such that the ultimate conclusion of every person shall be the same. Such is the method of science. Scientific knowledge is knowledge provable by both reason and evidence from the senses (experience). The importance of the scientific methodology is to be found primarily in its provision of language for communication; rules for reasoning and procedures; and, methods for observation and validation. The fundamental premises are necessary pre-requisites for the conduct of scientific discourse. The scientific approach assumes that: Nature is orderly; We can know nature; All natural phenomena have natural causes; Nothing is self-evident; Knowledge is derived from the acquisition of experience; and, Knowledge is superior to ignorance.
