Their professions disgust Samantha but she finds herself turning a trick when her mother steals the school clothes, shoes and supplies that her boyfriend buys her for school. When Samantha's boyfriend finds out about her tricking off, he spreads a rumor about her in the Ickes Housing Projects that they live in. It is so vicious that Angel moves her kids to the Westside of Chicago.
