O knihe
There is a growing trend towards the use of natural renewable sources for clean energy production in order to mitigate the effects of climate change. The present investigation seeks to characterize the sugar cane residue from the Tababuela Sugar Mill in Imbabura - Ecuador for bioenergy production. It was carried out a spatial location of harvested surface (t/ha) of sugar cane with the information obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG) and the sugar mill. It was carried out an evaluation of the energy potential of agro-residual biomass by means of calorimetry, morphology and weighing (t/ha), of the most relevant varieties present in the sugar mill. Taking into account the agricultural residue (bagasse) of the variety, it was carried out an analysis of elemental, structural and proximal form with the thermogravimetric method (TGA). These data allow to analyze the benefits of the use of biomass as cogeneration and biofuel. Finally, it was found that the variety PR 980 has greater advantage for the production of bioethanol by the concentration of hemicellulose and cellulose.
