O knihe

Bonding to tooth tissue can be achieved through etch, prime and bond or through self etch approach. Sclerotic dentin is not a usual bonding substrate that exhibits a high degree of variability, both in terms of blocking the dentinal tubules and in relation to the thickness of the surface hyper mineralized layer. Bonding resin composite restoration without cavity preparation is proving to be excellent for restoring teeth with non-carious cervical lesions. Dentin adhesives employ two different means to achieve the goal of micromechanical retention between resin and dentin. Physical removal of the superficial layers with bur to improve adhesion to highly sclerotic dentin has also been advised. The quality of a hybrid layer created in non-carious cervical sclerotic lesions may determine the longevity of cervical composite restorations. Hence, this in-vitro study is intended to compare the two different adhesives and two different techniques, using a Scanning Electron Microscope to study the quality of hybrid layer generated.
