HIV/AIDS and cancer have become a burden on health care systems especially in resource-limited settings such as sub-Saharan Africa. While HIV/AIDS pandemic has been around for close to 4 decades since the first case was diagnosed in 1981, a sharp rise in cancers, especially in developing countries has been noted recently.
