We have compiled this book as per the need of undergraduate and postgraduate students. And also with the aim that students coming from both sociological as well as non-sociological backgrounds should have a proper understanding of the evolution of sociology, major perspectives, basic concepts and also about the basic social processes in sociology. Our intention of writing this book "Sociology for Beginners" is to provide literature that is lucid, precise and easy to understand. In our belief, this book would be able to reach every level of students, teachers, researchers, and academicians.
