A key finding of the research study is that the regulatory environment, which is described as "highly restrictive," neither enabled nor constrained strategic renewal behaviors of the case organizations, mainly as a result of the type of industry regulation (social regulation) that was found to exist in the print newspaper publishing industry in Saudi Arabia.
