O knihe

Plants are exposed to a wide variety of abiotic or biotic stresses which can directly or indirectly affect their photosynthetic function. With limited availability of land and unpredicted natural hazards, vegetation loss is to be minimized which is possible only by better crop management. Early detection of crop damage could be a useful technique for initiating remedial measures to reduce further crop damage. Any change in plant photosynthetic function is reflected as changes in chlorophyll fluorescence or reflectance parameters. Proximal/remote sensing measurements using sunlight-induced chlorophyll fluorescence and reflectance imaging are powerful and potential tools to study the photosynthetic functioning of outdoor plants non-destructively.
