O knihe

Tropical forests are important in maintaining global life-saving mechanisms. Plants and animals are integral part of tropical forest ecosystem. Plants interactions with environment as primary producer and animal interactions with plants are discussed.Animal behavior and their dependency on tropical forests is well defined as secondary production. Dynamics of animal populations and prey-predator relationships are explored. An ecosystem has its own framework with many life forms and each species has its own place and appropriate actions within that framework. Man is considered as one of the participant in the ecosystem processes and has his own actions that are appropriate to functioning of an ecosystem. Hence his actions as a co-habitant i.e. common user of certain area can be analyzed through his ecological approach and pattern of land use.Man also exhibits adaptations or resistance and has limitations to environmental heterogeneity. However such actions are influenced by customs, attitudes and by social systems. Amidst these factors man has been evolved from hunter gatherer to present civilization. These facts are thoroughly discussed in this work.
