O knihe

In this Book, four sets of blends were prepared and their mechanical properties (Impact strength, Hardness, and Bending) and dielectric behaviour were investigated. The blends were prepared by mixing different weight percentages of Epoxy, cellulose and modified unsaturated polyester (MUPE) of molecular weight equal to (2230) which takes place at curing temperatures ranging from 25-120°C. Impact strength values were determined by using the Charpy impact tester. The Brinell ball indentation method obtains the hardness values and the maximum load not exceeding 800N / mm2. A three-point technique is used to measure the bending of the samples at different loads. The dielectric constant was investigated by an induction effect using a high-frequency instrument. It was found that the presence of (Cls) and (EP) additives would cause an increase in the dielectric constant, and a decrease in bending, while it would increase the values of the impact strength until the additive is 20% from Epoxy after a decrease while a decrease in hardness starts until the additive is 15% from Epoxy in comparison with those of pure (MUPE).
