O knihe

The study found that there was very little awareness on the readmission policy of teenage mothers amongst both teachers and students of Kajiado County. The little awareness has therefore resulted in poor and even lack of implementation of the readmission policy. The teachers as well as the students portrayed a negative perception towards the readmission of the teenage mothers which hinders the implementation of the readmission policy. This led to suggestions on how to improve the implementation of the policy include: use of the media, using the local authority and making use of school functions to create awareness. From the study, the researcher recommended the need to create awareness on the readmission policy as it was well known. Other recommendations brought forward include use of the Ministry of education as a channel towards the distribution of the policy to schools and other stakeholders and to follow up on the implementation, awareness of the teachers and students on the readmission policies that govern the readmission of teenage mother to school as well as effective implementation of the readmission policies of the teenage mother back to schools.
