O knihe
The founding dynasties of the kingdoms of Allada, Porto-Novo and Agbomè all come from Agassou, the fruit of the union between the princess Aligbonon, daughter of the king of Tado (currently in Togo), and a panther as she was going to fetch water. The descendants of Agassou (Agassouvi), unable to claim the throne, had to leave Tado around the 13th century, settling on the lands of Allada and making it a kingdom in the nineteenth century. In the following century, the three brothers quarreled over the throne; the first guarded the kingdom of Allada, the second went north to the Gedevi country, and the third to the south, to found the kingdom of Xogbonou, which later became Porto - Novo. The founders of this kingdom settled in Canan, then Houawé. Upon the death of Dogbagli (head of the Alladaxonu community), his younger son, Dakodonou, usurped the place of his brother Gangnihessou while he was in Allada to receive the sacrament. This usurpation provoked the discontent of Aho, heir apparent of Gangnihessou, who left his parents in 1625 to settle on the current site of the royal palace of Agbomè and found the kingdom of Danxomè. But it was between 1645 and 1845.
