O knihe

Throughout history, the Republic of Paraguay has had six Constitutions 1813, 1841, 1870, 1940, 1967 and 1992 currently in force, the sixth in the country since its independence from Spain in 1811. We must remember that the constitutions are only texts. Whether they are mere utopias or serve as indicators for the conquest of rights and, consequently, for the construction of a more just and dignified society, will depend on our participation as men and women in search of true citizenship. Studying the Constitutions that Paraguay has already had, makes us aware of the main contents of Paraguayan history. From it we can perceive several things such as the country's economy, society and politics in a certain period when the Constitution was in force. Thus, by analyzing the constitutions to this day we can perceive the whole process of evolution that Paraguay has undergone.
