Baggy the brown bear and Paxton the grey-and-white dog are always getting into trouble. They go on holiday to Devon and decide to have a bath. Everything is great and they splash around in the tub, until they forget to turn off the taps. Suddenly, disaster strikes...

All the animals in Dawlish Warren club together to help Baggy and Paxton, but they all end up in trouble themselves! These hilarious characters just don't know what to do. The Spanish gorilla policeman can't save anyone from danger and even the clever inventions of Colonel 'Trumper' Squirrel are no help. Will Dawlish Warren ever be peaceful again?

The Adventures of Baggy and Paxton came into being while I was on holiday with my family in Dawlish Warren, Devon in 2004. I would always read my boys, James and Edward, a bedtime story but I had finished the books we'd brought with us, so their mum suggested I make up a story this particular night as they wouldn't settle down and go to sleep. I decided to use their cuddly toys as characters in my story. It wasn't the story you are going to read in this book, but it was the inspiration for it and a series of others based on the same characters.
This particular story came into being while I was working on a ship in the Gulf of Mexico. I had quite a lot of free time and in a conversation with my boys' mum over the phone, she suggested I put the stories of Baggy and Paxton down in writing. This, The Adventures of Baggy and Paxton: Trouble in Dawlish Warren, is the first. I hope you enjoy it as much as my children and their friends have.

Thank you.
