The novels of both authors used in writing this describe the pain that a young girl can suffer by living in a poor area where men dominate women and also where Black people live under White supremacy. Meanwhile, all this is not without consequences. Black women have lived psychological trauma but the positivity is that they have at last stood up and defend their rights and be source of inspiration for other women.
