The Men of Palla are in reality six engineers from earth. These six men find that they have been captured and sold as labor assets to a grey alien race known as the Ponas. Their year-long servitude on this rogue planet ends with a rescue by the beautiful inter trader Myra Song. Myra finds these men, along with two other races, simply by chance. She weaves a deal to return the six men, but not without facing a few entanglements. Each man will face a difficult return to society.
