This book aims to understand the issue of the body and its relationship with communication and contemporary culture. The author demonstrates in his approaches that the body, emerges today as a new emerging paradigm, explored by different branches of knowledge. The body is today, the privileged support of technical, economic and scientific investments, the main agent of practices, meanings and symbolic representations, constituted in the concrete materiality to produce its reflection in the social mirror on which several looks are launched: the look of Anthropology, Sociology, Communication, Psychoanalysis, Arts and Language.
