O knihe

In the 1950s, attention was called to the problem of soil fatigue. Apple (Malus domestica) replant disease is distributed worldwide and is often encountered in establishing new orchards on old sites. It coincided with the beginning of intensive fruit-growing activity which frequently was connected with the replacement of old trees by new ones, an increased tree density and a wide application of dwarfed or semi-dwarfed rootstocks. Soil fatigue phenomena started to have an increasing importance from the natural science point of view as well as from the technical and economic aspect. In work was used IAA content in apple-tree cultivation in the orchard after replantation as an important proxy for determining the biological activity and productivity of soils. Also, the book represents broad chemical parameters in the soils of an apple tree-orchard after replantation in different terms depending on the developmental phase and level of irrigation and fertilization.
