O knihe
Warren Felt Evans (1817-1889) was an American author famous for his writings related to the New Thought movement, a movement originating from 19th century United States based upon the ideas that God exists everywhere, sickness originates in the mind, and that thinking "correctly" has the ability to heal. He became a proponent of the movement during 1863 as a result of seeking healing from Phineas P. Quimby, the movement's founder. In "The Divine Law of Cure", Evans attempts to construct a theoretical and practical system of phrenopathy (mental-cure), with reference to famous philosophers including Berkeley, Fichte, Schelling, and Hegel. This vintage book will appeal to those with an interest in New Thought, and it would make for a worthy addition to collections of related literature. Contents include: "The Essential Idea of Christianity as Unfolded in the Johnnean Gospel", "The Presence of God in Material World and in the Realm of Mind", "Saving and Healing Grace, of Medicine a Sacrament", "Origin and Conservation of Life-Force", "The Scriptural Idea of Health and Disease", "The Birth of the Christ in Illustrating the General Law of Conception, and the Vital Relation of Man to God", etc. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with an essay by William Al-Sharif.
