In John 1:1, it is confirmed that "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God," establishing Jesus' divine participation in creation. Genesis 1:26, where God says, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness," further alludes to the plurality of God, hinting at the presence of Jesus in the creative process. Jesus' divinity is also reflected in the story of the Fall in Genesis 3, where the promise of redemption is made through the protoevangelium, the first gospel message.
