In recent times, Latin America's attempts have been oriented towards increasing the welfare of society. The trajectory of Latin American thinking on science, technology and society has been related to the political approach to development problems linked to science, technology and the environment in the face of the global crisis. However, little work has been done on the determination and systematization of the intellectual work of the representatives of the STS approach in Latin America, particularly related to the environmental dimension from ideological, political and ethical conceptions. Therefore, this book seeks to analyze the environmental dimension from the science, technology and society approach.
