To achieve development and peace, it is essential that women effectively enjoy their human rights, which are no different from those of men. Recognizing the importance of women's rights is an asset for real and sustainable development. In Africa in general, women represent the labor force in the agricultural sector and 60% in other sectors. They own less than 2% of the land and hold only 10% of salaried jobs. While 90% of what they earn is reinvested in the education and health of their families.
